New Student Information
The Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston has contracted with FACTS Management Company to help us manage our tuition payment program.
Families can pay their tuition bill in one of two ways:
- Full Payment of tuition by August 1, 2019. This payment should be made directly to the school.
- Automatic monthly payments through the FACTS Payment Plan (10 payments-Sept.-June). Payments will start September 2019 and may be processed on the 5th or the 20th of each month. There is a $ 38.00 per year, per family charge for using this option. If you choose to budget through
FACTS, you will authorize automatic bank payments directly from your bank account for your monthly tuition bill. Please DO NOT USE A CREDIT CARD. Please be assured that neither FACTS nor the school will have direct access to or any knowledge about the status of your bank account.
- FACTS AGREEMENTS ARE TO BE COMPLETED ONLINE. A LINK IS AVAILABLE ON OUR SCHOOL WEBSITE FOR NEW FAMILIES. ALL EXISTING ACCOUNTS WILL BE ACTIVATED FOR THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR ON AUGUST 1, 2019 WHICH WILL GENERATE THE $38 FEE.
- $100 Registration Fee is required for all newly enrolled students.
- Tuition costs for students belonging to one of the 3 supporting parishes (St. Peter the Fisherman, Immaculate Conception, and St. Anthony):
- Kindergarten fee is $2365 for the school term regardless of any other children enrolled.
- Grades 1-8: One Child – $2365; Two Children – $3465; Three or More Children – $4410
Tuition for all others not belonging to any of the supporting parishes is $3970 per student.
Cost is $300 per child in grades K-8. This is payable by August 1, 2018.
Lunch tickets must be purchased in advance. Cost of lunch is $3.75 per day, which includes a ½-pint carton of milk. Choices available are whole, 2% and chocolate.
Lunch tickets – 10 days: $37.50, 5 days: $18.75
Milk tickets – 20 days: $10.00, 5 days: $5.00
Vending machines have juice, sport drinks and water available for $1.00.
A monthly menu will be sent home with students and posted on the school website. The menu will also note upcoming school events and information.
Make checks payable to Fairmont Catholic Lunch Program. PLEASE do not combine lunch payments with any other payments. Guidelines for free and reduced lunch applications are enclosed. Please return the application as soon as possible, or no later than the first day of school. Lunch bills will be sent home at the beginning of each month.
Lunch will be cancelled periodically due to functions at St. Peter’s. A note will be sent home as well as a notification via our communication system (email, phone, and/or text message)
Grades 1-8 will receive report cards every nine weeks. Progress can be monitored through RenWeb for grades 1-8. Kindergarten will receive report cards at the end of each semester (twice per school year). ACCESS TO ONLINE GRADES AND REPORT CARDS WILL NOT BE ISSUED TO FAMILIES WITH OUTSTANDING BALANCES ON ANY ACCOUNT.
All students must be at school by 7:45 AM
Early Back Door (grades K-4 without older siblings) will be dismissed at 2:35. Second Back Door (grades 5-8 & their younger siblings) will be dismissed at 2:45. Children will remain supervised by teachers at all times and will be escorted to cars by our staff. No sidewalk pick-up is permitted. The intersections of Madison and Jackson Streets cannot be blocked. We will use the alley behind the Presbyterian Church as additional access to the back of the school. Every driver on Madison St. will need to let one car into the line from the alley.
Fairmont Catholic uses the Marion Co. school buses. Please check the bus schedule for your child published in the Times-West Virginian newspaper. If unsure contact the Marion County Transportation Department at 367-2161.
Please inform your child of his/her mode of transportation home before sending them to school. Please send a note anytime there is a change in the normal routine. Also, make sure your child is prepared for early dismissal arrangements. Please notify the school if a non-custodial adult will be picking up your child.

In conjunction with the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston, we are using RenWeb for online grading and communication. If you have any questions or need any help, please contact Ms. Brown (firstname.lastname@example.org). Access to grades will be restricted for families with outstanding balances.
Fairmont Catholic has an ongoing fundraiser known as the Winners’ Circle. Enrollment for this will be held in March. Other fundraisers will be announced throughout the year.
Fairmont Catholic collects General Mills Box Tops for Education year- round.
Cell phones, mp3’s, I-pods, gaming devices, etc. should be brought in at your own risk. These items are not to be used or turned on during class time. Outgoing calls should be made from inside the office. ALL CELL PHONES MUST BE KEPT OFF AND IN BACKPACKS DURING THE SCHOOL DAY.
The uniform consists of FCS plaid & white shirts or khaki bottoms with polo-style shirts in maroon, navy, or white. Skirts, split skirts & jumpers in school plaid must be purchased from Schoolbelles. Shorts, slacks, skorts, and shirts can be purchased from Lands’ End.
Lands’ End (1-800-469-2222 School Number is 9000-5374-5) & Schoolbelles (1-800-548-3883) have our uniform policy on hand, which will guarantee the integrity of our dress code.
Footwear: All shoes must have a heel and a toe. No sandals or flip-flops are permitted for safety reasons. Dress shoes of solid color are to be worn by all students. (This also applies to Kindergarten students.)
- Shirts must be tucked in at all times & a belt must be worn.
- No extreme jewelry will be permitted. No earrings larger than a quarter.
- Absolutely no brand logos permitted on sweatshirts. Plain in school colors only.
The Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston conducts sexual abuse awareness training for any parent or volunteer who wishes to participate in school activities and functions. This mandatory 1 ½ – 2 hour workshop is available online. All parents will be sent the information for completing this program. If you’d like to be on the list of helpers in the school, you must complete this process.
